I’ve always been of the opinion that maps offer a great way to tell a story.
Let’s take this map as an example:
If you click the icon to display the slide out (upper left) or legend, it will give you a list of different street art pieces I’ve photographed in different places throughout LA. Street art is under appreciated in my opinion. It often contains social commentary, inspirational imagery or quotes, and quite often tells you a lot about the surrounding community.
The story here is the cool things you can find throughout the city, whether it be on the side of a building, a bench, etc. — just look around, there’s beauty to be had.
Note that because it is street art, some of these do disappear over time!
It is always fun to find new ones and add them to my collection, though I’ve been slacking on that front a bit.
